In 1983, after sustaining a back injury Susan moved to Eastern PEI to be near her parents and teach dance on the Island. She met her husband, Glen that same year. Susan opened Hammond- Bruce Studios and later became the Artistic Director of the former Les Souris Qui Dansent, a children’s dance company in Souris, P.E.I. Retiring from full-time teaching to raise her children, Susan continued to write, direct, co-direct, coach, and choreograph dance, musicals, and theatre productions, working with individuals, local schools, community centres, churches, and theatres. Susan now resides in Charlottetown, PE where she teaches intermediate, senior, and adult ballet, pointe, and character classes at Dance Virtuosa, and is Head of Wardrobe for Anne and Gilbert- The Musical. Susan is delighted to be teaching and is looking forward to working with the students and faculty of Revolution Dance Studio.

Charlee extends a heartfelt thank you to her ever-supportive parents for being her amazing guides and inspirations, and to her incredibly talented husband for being right by her side, as a true partner on this journey to make their dreams come true.
